Crocheted Ticker Tape Purse

Earlier I posted the purse I knitted using the Ticker Tape yarn and I was curious to see how that same yarn would crochet. I didn't find it to be any harder or look any different. I like it. I made it a little bigger than perhaps it should be for stability so I'll probably have to line this but...who knows?

Next I'm going to knit a scarf with the Ticker Tape.

Crocheted Diaper Covers

I found this diaper cover pattern online and I like it but I'm redesigning it just a little bit. I don't like how all the decreases look so I'm starting with the center and then increasing from both ends. I did the little ruffle according to the pattern but the next one I do I'm going to change to have more of a ruffle. I'm also going to replace the ruffle with a small pocket for the boy's or gender-neutral cover. These are just adorable!!

Ticker Tape Yarn

I just finished knitting a bag using the ticker tape yarn. The yarn is a lot of fun to use. I've crocheted a belt and now knitted this purse. I've read on the CP list that folks are having trouble crocheting items using this yarn so I want to try that next. Maybe I'm just not as picky or don't know any better. Amazing how the colors look so completely different in the two pictures. Obviously, background makes a LOT of difference. The picture with the purse hanging is closer to the actual colors.

The yarn is very stretchy so I'll either have to line the purse (I doubt I'll do that) or only carry reasonably lightweight items (more likely). Dimensions of the purse are about 10" wide by about 12" tall.
