Scottie's Hat and Scarf

I knitted the hat and scarf using the Bernat Camo yarn that I bought at WalMart. The scarf is knitted on size 19 needles using two strands. It's a simple knit stitch throughout. I cast on 20 stitches and went 'til I got so bored I couldn't stand it any more. Ok not exactly true, its about 56" without the fringe. The scarf is a little wide but since its an open pattern I figured it was better that way.
The hat was from the pattern on the link above. I really like how it came out. My picture may show the stitch detail a little better than on Bev's site but still doesn't do it justice.
On to more projects........

Tote Test

I got to test the pattern for this tote which was designed by a member of Crochet Partners. Of course, I had to add my own "signature", the reverse single crochet along the top but I think it turned out nice and is a good, easy pattern. I enjoyed testing and hope to get to do it more.

Camo Sets

The holiday season is approaching much too quickly. I do hope I'll have time to finish all the items that I want to make for friends and family. Here are the camo sets I made for the grandboys. They usually like anything camo so hopefully they'll like these, too. I was advised by a friend at work that the boys wouldn't like pop-poms on their hats so I crocheted small circles to sew on the top. They just look more finished to me that way. I made up the scarf patterns (just one stitch each, hard to say made up but I didn't use a pattern) and for the caps I used the pattern from www.bevscountrycottage.com/wintergear.html called CANADIAN CHILD'S TOQUE.

Anyway, here's the picture and I hope you enjoy.

Angel Tree Hats

Here are pictures of the two hats I made this weekend. Our department at work likes to sponsor several angels and I said that I'd make hats to match the coats that were purchased. Thanks to members of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ROUNDLOOMS/ for helping me know which size loom to use. Gotta love those Yahoo groups!

wasn't to be.........

Ah well, guess it wasn't to be as I never heard back from the TV folks. They liked the Dreidel Luminary but didn't have any room left in their Holiday show. C'est la vie.

I'm working on the knifty knitter again and having fun with that. Also, I get to test a pattern for someone on one of the Yahoo groups that I belong to. I'm looking forward to that A LOT.

Pictures to come: hats and scarves that I crocheted for the boys and two hats I did on the KK for an Angel Tree Toddler we adopted at work.
